2/29 - Wilson High School Hockey Fundraiser

For anyone who may not know, the Capitals and a number of the more prominent Capitals bloggers (i.e. not me) have banded together to put together a fundraiser for the Wilson High School hockey team. Wilson is the only public high school in the District with a hockey team. On Frozen Blog has the best explanation. If you live in the D.C. area, try and make it down. If not, there is also an option to donate online.

  1. Thanks for helping to get the word out.

Will you be there? It will be nice to place faces to the blogs.

    Cheers.

  2. I wish I could make it, unfortunately I am a graduate student at a university in Atlanta.

I did however make a donation - as someone who played travel hockey growing up (as a goalie no less) and who now plays on a grad student’s budget, I can appreciate the need for funds the kids are facing.

  3. Thanks for the call-out. The event was a success, and Wilson High has been impressed with the generosity of the auction-night bidders as well as those donating via Paypal. It has made a huge difference for the team already, both financially and for the team’s morale. Thanks again!
